The sealing action of Yale Hammer Unions is not dependent upon metal-to-metal contact. An elastomeric O-ring fits in a precision-machined groove between the metal mating parts. Forced into sealing position at very low initial pressure, the O-ring ensures the utmost safety dependability and economy despite severity of service conditions.
