StayTite® Swing Joints for Storage Tanks

StayTite® Swing Joints from R&M Energy Systems provide significant advantages over "elbow style" joints for longer life and trouble-free operation in petroleum and petrochemical storage tanks.

StayTite Swing Joints feature a "U"-shaped yoke that bolts directly to the tank nozzle for a snug fit to the tank shell. The flanged tee rotates precisely on large bronze or Ni-Resist™ bushings that are integrated into the yoke assembly.

The fluid passage through the joint is unobstructed and generously oversized to facilitate a smooth flow. The fluid thrust present in a StayTite joint is balanced, preventing lock-up and potential bending of the tank nozzle.

Other performance characteristics include the following:

• Compatible with optional pipe supports
• Hydrostatically tested at 40 psi
• Large bearing area for reliability and ease of operation
• Flow-through designs permits bi-directional flow
• Balanced, leak-tight construction that will not tilt or separate
