Applications Engineer - Tubing Wear Prevention Solutions

Overview

Provides technical support to customers to ensure that the right product is chosen for their applications and it’s used in the right manner. Provides recommendations concerning the development and introduction of new products and/or services based on a first hand knowledge of current product performance, applications and customer needs.

Duties

• Translates product, customer and application knowledge into product selection and/or use recommendations that improve product performance and provide increased value to the customer.
• Provides technical expertise and product applications training to the customer and internal R&M Energy Systems departments.
• Creates product application presentations and documentation.Provides training to customers and company technical personnel.
• Participates in overall product strategy and identification of R&D requirements for new and emerging products.
• Conducts market research and analysis to track tubing wear prevention solutions market trends and identify potential future product requirements.
• Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
• Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements.In conjunction with Sales, develops customer specific product and service solutions.
• Identifies partnering opportunities for the resale and/or development of complementary third-party products that will satisfy customer requirements.
• Participates in key sales situations for the product.
• Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze operational and technical information for the product line.

Skills & Experience

Education:

BS in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Required:

• 4-8 years practical engineering experience required.
• Tubing Wear Prevention Solutions application knowledge preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent customer/public relations, communication, and presentation skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Efficient time management.
• Computer
  • Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
