Technical Sales Representative - Closure Products
Overview
A direct representative of the Business Unit to the Unit’s customers and potential customers. The salesperson’s primary purpose is the sale and service of the Unit’s product to the satisfaction of the customer. This is accomplished through a thorough knowledge of the territory, a well planned sales coverage, and a technical and thorough sales presentation, resulting in maximum possible product sales.
Duties
Deepen market penetration of the selected industrial accounts by identifying new applications with existing and new customers.
Maintain and/or increase business with existing customers.
Time management – Organize time so that the maximum amount of time possible is spent in front of customers to achieve the above.
Recommend, establish and train through the guidance of the V.P. North American Sales the approximate distributor or distributors required to obtain maximum sales coverage of the territory.
Secure orders in line with, or more than, called for in the region.
Identify applications, engineer proper equipment, and quote price and delivery within Business Unit guidelines for all existing customers and potential customers within the territory. This process is also accomplished for consultants both to industry and the domestic waste treatment field.
Communicate resulting orders to order entry personnel with appropriate information.
Secure approval of equipment selection from customer, if required, by submitting proper equipment information.

Perform after sales services, start-up (if required), trouble shooting (if required), spare parts recommendations, etc.
Expense control – Perform duties within the expenditures called for by territorial budget.
Report – Submit reports expediently, briefly and accurately as required by regional management.
Skills & Experience
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering preferred.

Other:
Sales experience with pipeline closure products is preferred.
Ability to skillfully articulate technical concepts and value propositions through sales presentations, one-on-one or in group settings.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, and ability to collect and analyze various data.
